Humility
is fake. But not always. I'd like to say that almost everyone I know has this trait but the truth is that most don't. Every day, even though I pay attention to my surroundings (from time to time), I never see people who use this because that is who they are. I hadn't noticed until today but, In my entire life I've seen very few examples of this in others, and when I did see them, they were usually so fake that I couldn't believe that the people around them didn't turn and punch them in the face (they simply didn't notice). It's a good trait when handled well but let's just say that out of it's three uses; something used by people either because they feel embarrassed, they don't like the attention, they really think it wasn't all thanks to them, or they're just acting that way. If it's not the first three then you'd do better to not show this trait at all.

I believe you are right, there does seem to be a distinct lack of this trait. Plus an excess of faking this trait as you previously stated. But as seen by quite a few people's blog posts, they didn't even know what 'humility' was at first. This probably rings true for the majority of society. Granted, you can practice humility without knowing that is what it is per say, but I just don't believe that this trait comes naturally to people at all. It is challenging to embrace but for those that do actually practice true humility,others don't notice, but they are content with themselves.
ReplyDeleteTrue true... No one really has humility now a days, everyone is selfisg and a few are humble. We always need to be rewarded some how for our doings.. we have to learn to humble ourselves and practice humility because it is a great trait.
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean, it's hard for me to think of someone that I know that has this trait. Most people just try to act humble so people will call them humble, which in fact is not being humble at all. I think it is hard to do as a constant thing but I believe we at least do it once in your life even if you don't notice it. I also see what your saying when you say people fake it it's worst then not being humble at all.
