Is just what it is. It's the act of doing something which leaves you weak of either mind or body. It doesn't always give you the results you desired, but chances are it's going to be something you wouldn't have attained otherwise.
In order to get what you want you need luck, true knowledge, and the ability to use that knowledge in order to act on or avoid situations. Anymore than that and it's simply someone's opinion, not facts.
I like you, a man of few words, cynical too, I like cynical. And what you say rings true, life is a lot of luck and the rest is grinning and bearing during the bad parts. So kudos for your concise post and good luck on your word requirements.
